  Wycom Technology – Response to COVID-19!   Wycom understands that we are in challenging times and that each and everyone of us have been affected by the restrictions that have been placed in response to COVID-19 and we can assure our friends and clients Wycom takes these measures seriously.  Wycom has taken the following measures to ensure the safety of our staff and clients: Wycom staff where possible are working from home in accordance with Social Distancing guidelines. We have reduced on-site visits to emergency or urgent/unavoidable only. Wycom Office/Workshop visits are appointment only. Delivery schedules have been reduced and zero contact. Wycom staff have been provided with sanitizer cleaners for regular use. Working from home? With new social distancing requirements Wycom is aware that a lot of our clients are choosing to work from home as per the COVID-19 health guidelines.  When working via remote we can find challenges that we would not necessary find in our offices. Apart from the kids and where did all my milk go?

Make sure the home computer you are using is connected to your internet modem or you are in comfortable range of your home WiFi. Got kids at home? Kids using computers and tablets for streaming can slow the internet at home down.If this happens you may need to ask the kids to reduce their streaming demands or contact your provider for a speed boost. Remote accessing using your home computer.If you are using your home computer to remote access to work please make sure that you have Windows updates right up to date and that you have a current active antivirus running on your computer, Wycom recommend and sell Kaspersky Internet Security or business users Sophos Enterprise .Turn off any unnecessary programs running in the background of your computer like Spotify, Netflix and other music/video streaming services and downloads. Be wary of free software offers for COVID-19 for file sharing or online meetings. DO NOT open or click on links on suspicious emails at home or at work.
